The Boss Baby: Family Business

This is an animated film that was released in 2021 as a sequel to The Boss Baby. The story is about the, now adult Templeton brothers, and how the youngest daughter of Timothee, named Tina. Both brothers team up, once again, to take down another villain in another comedy movie that is packed with humor, action, and a lot of cuteness. Despicable Me

Despicable Me is a 2010 film that focuses on the story of a villain, named Gru, who strives to become the best possible villain by pulling off the greatest heist in history. It has been produced by Illumination and distributed by its parent company, Universal Pictures. This movie has been further followed by two more sequels: Despicable Me 2, in 2013, and Despicable Me 3, in 2017. There have been two spin-off prequels to this movie titled: Minions, in 2015, and Minions: The rise of Gru, in 2022. It is a great and unexpected movie series, full of twists and turns that keep the viewer at the edge of their seat.

Frozen

This movie was released in 2013 and it was quite popularized as it depicted the bond between two sisters and was also the source of the popular tune, “Let it go”. It follows the story of Anna, the princess of Arendelle, and her journey to find her sister, Elsa, the newly appointed queen of Arendelle, who has run away and isolated herself due to her magical powers. The story follows a comedic route due to Anna’s naïve nature and is packed with songs and characters that you are bound to fall in love with. It is followed by a sequel, Frozen ll that was released in 2019.

The Little Mermaid

The little mermaid, released in 1989, is a musical fantasy film that was produced by Walt Disney Pictures and garnered much attention. It is based on the Danish fairy tale of the same name written by Hans Christian Andersen. The story follows Ariel, a young mermaid, who dreams of becoming human and falls in love with Prince Eric, a human. Her desire and her rift with her father cause her to seek out the help of a sea witch to fulfill her wish. This movie is followed by a sequel, The Little Mermaid 2 that focuses on Ariel’s daughter, Melody.

Finding Nemo

Released in 2003, the story of a clownfish named Marlin, a single father who is extremely protective of his son, Nemo. On the contrary, Nemo is quite rebellious and naïve and wants to do something against his father’s will. He quickly realizes his mistake when his luck plays out against him and he is taken away. At this point, Marlin has to find his son and bring him back safely and so, he sets out to do just that. He comes across obstacles, meets, and makes new friends as he learns to grow and change for the better. This is a happy family-themed movie that stresses the values of family.
